COSLHS volleyball team holds season opener

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Christ Our Savior Lutheran High School, Evansville held it's season opener for the 2010-2011 Varsity Volleyball season Friday night September 10th. In town to play the Lady Soldiers were the Lady Falcons of Trinity Christian, Carbondale. The Lady Soldiers beat the Lady Falcons in three sets with scores of 26-24,15-25, and 25-18. With six returning and two new players on the Varsity team this year, the Lady Soldiers are looking forward to an exciting season. Seniors, Callie and Bailey Jackson, daughters of Rodney and Julie Jackson of Coulterville, captained the Lady Soldiers Friday night. The evening was rounded out with two JV sets with the Lady Soldiers winning 25-16 and 25-17. The Lady Soldiers team includes also, Juniors Sarah McCluskey and Naomi Mehring, and Sophomores Jenna Curten, Alyssa Gibbs, Katie Kirkham and Hannah Ruez. The Lady Soldiers are coached by Mrs. Ann Ryherd and managed by student Courtney Caldwell. The Christ Our Savior volleyball team fell to the Lady Tiger of Dupo High School on Monday, September 13th by scores of 7-25 and 23-25. The Lady Soldiers will be in action at home next on September 28th against Governor French Academy at 6:30 p.m.
