Route 4 to be reduced to one lane

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that the bridge carrying Illinois Route 4 over Plum?Creek near Sparta will be reduced to one lane beginning Wedneday,?September 22, 2010. Traffic signals will be in place to direct motorists. The bridge lane closure is required to allow the contractor to replace the bridge in stages. All work should be completed by August 31, 2011. The contractor on this project is E.T. Simonds Construction COnstruction Company of Carbondale, Illinois.
