BASEBALL: Warriors ousted by Frankfort

"It is a disappointing end to the season," said Warriors' coach Tim Craft. "We had a great group of kids, though. They worked hard all season and we definitely saw improvements in everyone. I think that their best baseball is still ahead of them."
After a Cole Hopkins double with one out in the seventh, DMS was unable to drive him in as the tying run.
Noah Campbell threw a solid game going six innings and allowing four earned runs on just three hits and four walks.
A.J. Smith, Campbell, Hopkins and Tucker Kuhnert had hits for DMS, Campbell, Kuhnert and Ryne O'Rourke each had RBI's.
"Noah threw a great game," Craft said. "Two of their hits came with runners in scoring position and they just painted the lines with those hits."
"Give West Frankfort credit, their pitcher made some big pitches at times and their defense made some pretty good plays behind him. We had some opportunities but just couldn't get it done."
