BASEBALL: St. Bruno-Tamaroa bats explode in Regional Championship

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ St. Bruno-Tamaroa continued their winning streak on Monday, as the Falcons&#39; offense kept hitting in a 13-5 victory over St. John (Chester) at Rigdon Field in Pinckneyville to claim their Regional Championship.

The win sends the Falcons to Coulterville on Monday afternoon for a 1:30 p.m. meeting with Carrier Mills in the state tournament.

Cole Bigham struck out 12 batters and picked up the win in his complete game effort for SB-T. Bigham was also 1-for-4 at the plate with a run batted in.

Nolan Luke was the star on offense for the Falcons, going 4-for-5 with 3 RBI and coming a home run short of hitting for the cycle.

Andy Opp was 2-for-4 (R, RBI), Nolan Bruns 2-4, Tyler Rulevish 1-4 (2 R, RBI), and Tyler Iubelt 1-3 (3B, R).

Adam Banach scored a pair of runs and drove in another, Brock Bullar scored and drove in a run, and Braxton Clark also crossed the plate for the Falcons.

A 14-0 shutout of Evansville last week had placed SB-T in Monday&#39;s championship game.
