VOLLEYBALL: PCHS slips at Sparta

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ At Sparta, Jessica Robinson had 15 kills to lead the Lady Bulldogs past Pinckneyville in Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference Mississippi Division play last night.

The Lady Panthers fell to 10-13 (4-3) while Sparta improved to 16-14 (3-5).

Maddy Keith led PCHS with 16 kills, Taylor Cicardi added 11, Haleigh Hagood 10.

Katie Duvardo led the way with 12 digs, Lindsey Winter finished with a team-high in assists with 16.

For the Lady Bulldogs, Karli Hanna added 5 kills and Victoria Ward led the way with 18 assists.

Pinckneyville returns home this Thursday evening to host Carterville as a conference opponent for the first time, then travels to Steeleville on Monday (Oct. 18) before a rematch with Sparta at Thomas Gymnasium next Tuesday (Oct. 19).
