Look for a job at the veterans job fair Nov. 10
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[If you are looking for a new job or would like service agency information targeted specifically for veterans, then attend the Veterans Job Fair at Southwestern Illinois College.
The fair runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 10 in the SWIC Belleville Campus Varsity Gym, 2500 Carlyle Ave. The fair is open to the public, and individuals should arrive dressed to impress with plenty of copies of their résumés.
More than 100 companies and organizations will attend the job fair. Some of the companies attending include Ameren, American Red Cross, Avon, Caterpillar, Convergys Corporation, Colonial Life Insurance, Edward Jones, Enterprise, Extra Help, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Illinois Department of Transportation, Madison County Employment and Training, Painter District Council 58, Prairie State Generating Company, Primerica Financial Services, SAIC, Scott Civilian Personnel Office, St. Clair County Sheriff's Department, SWIC, U.S. National Park Service and Whelan Security.
Service agencies include CMS Veteran Outreach Program, Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs, St. Clair County Veterans Assistance Commission and Vet Center.
The job fair is co-sponsored by the SWIC Career Activities and Employment Center and the Illinois Department of Employment Security.
