New on-line resource for women

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[In July, Red Bud Regional Hospital launched a new website promoting health and wellness for women. At www.healthywomanonline.com, new and existing members can register for upcoming events, read timely health articles, and exchange messages with like-minded Healthy Woman friends. Members also have access to an award-winning online health library that includes 12,000 adult and pediatric topics.

"We wanted a current, streamlined way to reach our members and make it easier for them to access healthcare resources. Statistics tell us that women make close to 90 percent of the health care decisions for their families," says Meghan Simpson, Healthy Woman Coordinator. "Many women have to make choices for themselves, their children and their aging parents. Healthy Woman Online is a way to help women with these issues."

The Healthy Woman program at Red Bud Regional Hospital kicked off in 2006 and more than 500 women have become members. Monthly, the Healthy Woman program hosts a free educational dinner to educate and empower women with knowledge and confidence to make smart decisions about their health and well-being.

To learn more about this free program or to confirm that you would like to remain or become a free Healthy Woman member, you will need to sign up for new membership and create an account at www.healthywomanonline.com. The first 200 women to sign up online will receive an eco-friendly, pink water bottle.
