BASEBALL: Davis signs with SIU
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[On Friday, Du Quoin baseball standout J.C. Davis signed a letter of intent to attend classes and play baseball at Southern Illinois University begining in the fall of 2011.
Davis was an All-Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference selection in 2010 as the starting shortstop for the Indians, who reached the regional finals.

Davis follows in the footsteps of other recent DHS grads Tyler Bullock (SI Miners) and Bryant George (LA Angels of Anaheim) in taking the field for the Salukis.
