</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Buena Vista National Bank invited Bob Koenegstein from the Chester Christian Food Pantry to their recent employee staff meeting. Bank employees have been actively participating in the food collection program for two years. Several bank employees attended the food pantry open house earlier in the year. The personal tour and open house had an impact on those attending and it was suggested that bank employees have the opportunity to learn more about the program they are supporting. Bob explained the history of the food pantry, qualification procedures, and how the additional collection effort aids many in our community and the surrounding area. Bank employees may participate in "Casual Day" and wear jeans on designated days by donating 5 or more items or $5 to the food pantry. They recently collected 184 items which included 14 Thanksgiving Meal bags. As a community bank, this is one of the ways that Buena Vista National Bank gives back to the community by supporting the Chester Christian FoodPantry.
