Hospital Auxiliary Tree of remembrance donations
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The first week of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary's Tree of Remembrance fund drive raised $1,830. The funds will be used to purchase an ENT microscope at a cost of $20,673. The microscope is used by Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon for examination and surgical procedures. The scope enables the physician to visualize the operative field such as the inside of the ear canal and eardrum. It must be compact, easily maneuverable, and deliver clear and sharply focused images. This enables the surgeon to perform procedures safely with the optimal outcome for the patient.
Those wishing to make a donation or memorial contribution in honor of a loved one may do so by sending it to Tree of Remembrance Chairman Virginia Rowold at Memorial Hospital, 1900 State Street, Chester, Illinois 62233 or by dropping it in the collection box located in the hospital's front lobby.
The official lighting of the Tree of Remembrance will be held Friday, December 3, during the Auxiliary's general meeting which will begin at 12:30 p.m. Donations and memorials received to date include:
