12-05-10; Sparta Police Are Investigating A Report Of Aggravated Battery, Where The Victim Was Found In The Backyard Of A Residence In The 100 Blk W.Church. The Victim Was Taken To Sparta Hospital And Later Transferred To A St. Louis Hospital. Police Are Gathering Statements From Witnesses, And Are Hopeful Suspects Will Be Identified Soon.

12-04-10; Market And Stevenson; Drivers: Susan J. Ruiz, 37, Marissa, And Christopher J. Smith, 28, Coulterville. Smith Was Taken To Sparta Hospital For Treatment Of Minor Injuries. Ruiz Cited For Failure To Reduce Speed To Avoid Accident.
