Pinckneyville Junior High School (District #50) stormed to a 17-4 first quarter lead en route to a 55-28 beating of Chester on the road Tuesday night behind a game-high 20 points from Trent Hicks.
Zach Hagene threw in 12 points, Jordan Rojek 7, Dalton Gant and Stephano Euells 4, Alec Brand 3, Nathan Bauersachs 3 and Clatyon Houghland 2.
The Junior Panthers are now 7-6 overall, 4-2 in conference play, and will travel to Murphysboro on Monday (6:00 p.m. - JV) before a trip to Okawville on Tuesday (6:00 p.m. - JV).
<u>TSB girls split a pair this week</u>
Tamaroa-St. Bruno's girls split a pair of games early this week, losing at home to Okawville on Monday 43-25 before a 34-28 Tuesday road win over Trinity St. John.
Kaylee Rulevish scored 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds against Okawville, Dalis Hubler added 6 points, as did Chelsey Moss. Raven Alvis added 2 points, so did Delaney Bandy, and Tamara Williams, who led the Lady Indians with 10 rebounds in the game, finished with 1 point.
Agaisnt TSJ, Rulevish again led the way with 9 points and 10 boards, Williams added 8 and 8, Moss 7 points, Hubler and Cassie Andrade 4 points each, and Becca Gauch 2.
Tamaroa-St. Bruno (8-13, 2-3) returns to action on December 14 against Thompsonville.
