</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[City Clerk Fran Thomas said there will be lotteries held for four of the five positions on the City Council to determine the order candidates will appear on the April 5 ballot.
The lotteries are for Mayor, Commissioner of Accounts and Finance, Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements and Commissioner of Public Property.
Only those candidates who were present when the building opened at 7:30 a.m. on Monday will be part of the lottery. Anyone who turned in a petition later that day or who will turn in a petition before Dec. 20 will not be part of the lottery, but will appear on the ballot.
George Culley, Joe Holder and Augie Kellerman will draw for position on the ballot for Mayor. Lois Heisner also turned in a petition to run for Mayor.
Charles Dobrinick, Leonard Heisner and Sammy Peradotta are running for Commissioner of Accounts and Finance. A lottery will be held.
Sam Fulk, Sammy Peradotta and Jon Weatherford have filed petitions to run for Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements. A lottery will be held.
Sammy Peradotta and David Stone have filed are running for Commissioner of Public Property. A lottery will be held.
Nathan Kellerman and Kevin Hicks have filed petitions to run for Commissioner of Public Health and Safety. No lottery will be held
Petitions may be filed until close of business on Monday, Dec. 20. Candidates who submit petitions for more than one office must withdraw all but one by close of business on Tuesday, Dec. 28.
