Dave Bargman named Code Enforcement Officer
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[At the Monday night Chester City Council meeting the appointment of Dave Bargman as Code Enforcement Officer was approved. Bargman was approved at the rate of $15.00 per hour, not to exceed 20 hours a week.
The council also approved the appointment of Nancy Buskohl, Patti Carter, Linda Rader, Brenda Owen, Norma Baughman and Sandra Benedict to the Tourism Commission. They also approved the Tourism Commission's request to launch a campaign for a Memorial Walk at the Old Stone Cottage.
Discussion by the council regarding the two hour parking limit, between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., on Swanwick between Roberts Street and Morrison Street ended in a decision for the city attorney to come back to the next meeting with an amended ordinance for residential parking.
The council approved assist with the IDOT project for curb and guttering on Water Street and city's contribution towards concrete finisher.
The next regular scheduled meeting will be held Monday,?January 18 at 7:00 p.m. at city hall in the council chambers.
