"I was really happy to see us come out after half and really put the game out of reach," said Pinckneyville girls head basketball coach Alan Engelhardt. "We have got 10 wins in a row, which is a nice mark for us, but we need to keep working and getting better."

PCHS led just 12-6 after one, but extended their lead with a 22-7 second quarter and got all 14 girls some playing time before the night was through.

"We didn't defend very well out of the gate, but we got better and really did a nice job in the second and third quarters," added Engelhardt. "We got the ball inside off of cuts, post-ups, and drives, so it was nice to see us scoring inside in a variety of ways."

Taylor Cicardi also finished in double figures with 13 points, Maddy Keith, Haley Simpson and Dani Jenkel each had 5, Lindsey Winter 3, Mo Ramsey and Tyler Flowers 2, and Britney Thomas 1.

Pinckneyville (14-4) takes on Vandalia this Saturday in an 11:00 a.m. (12:30 p.m. varsity) meeting at PCHS's Thomas Gymnasium.
