CPD conducts tactical training at St. Mary's
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ The Chester Police Department recently conducted tactical training as St. Mary's School in Chester. The training is affiliated with the Chester Police Departments Safe Schools Initiative. Members of the Police Department practiced many different tactical scenarios and problem-solving procedures throughout the training session. The training lasted approximately 2 hours and was very well attended by the members of the Police Department. Major Bobby Helmers, Deputy Chief stated, "This type of training is extremely beneficial to our staff. Participation in this type of training provides the officers with a tactical advantage should an emergency arise at one of these facilities". Major Helmers wished to thank Officer Robert Young, Officer Joe Jany, and Officer Chris Bradley for their instructional assistance. The Chester Police Department conducts tactical training at at least two Chester Schools per year, allowing the officers to stay fresh on technics and to stay familiar with each schools layout.
