On Tuesday they had little trouble with Elverado in a 75-49 victory. Chester exploded for 26 points in the first quarter and easily led the rest of the way. Zach Lochhead was the hot shooter for the Yellow Jackets with 32 points while Matt Chandler had 16, Justin Woodward put in 13, Seth Johnson and James Brockmeyer had four each, Chris Schwartz scored three, Link Cushman had two and Caleb Arbeiter and Brandon Young added one each. Sean Harrison led the Falcons with 13.

The last time Chester took on Trico, the Yellow Jackets stayed with the Pioneers until the fourth quarter and lost a hard-fought battle. But Friday's rematch was a different story as the undefeated Pioneers dominated the contest and earned an easy 80-43 victory. Trico led by seven after one quarter, then started to put the game out of reach when they outscored Chester 20-8 in the second period.

Chandler had 12 points for Chester, Dalton Misuraca came off the bench for seven points, Lochhead and Woodward put in six each, Cushman scored five, Arbeiter had three, Heberlie scored two and Schwartz added one. Dylan Witthoft and Jesse Smith scored 15 points apiece to lead Trico.

The junior varsity game against Trico was a wild affair that saw Chester emerge with a 53-51 win thanks to a great second half comeback. Kyle Landon was the leading scorer with 21 points and Arbeiter added 14.
