Rednour's Help Breaks Lock on Funding at Five-Star

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Five Star Industries, Inc. director Susan Engelhardt doesn't think the arrival of $150,000 in long overdue state funding is coincidence.

"We hadn't received more than $5,000 since last July," said Engelhardt.

The handicapped workshop program serves approximately 90 clients in Perry County.

As the financial situation at the well-traveled workshop turned grave, Engelhardt turned to Du Quoin Mayor John Rednour who made calls into Springfield.

In less than a week, Illinois Department of Human Services program funding in the amount of $150,000 arrived at Five Star Industries.

Engelhardt said the timing was too perfect--less than a week after the calls were made.

She extended her deep appreciation to the City of Du Quoin and the mayor's office for its assistance.
