Ameren Unable to Find Source of Gas Leak

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Du Quoin Fire Department says Ameren was never able to find the source of a major natural gas leak, which could be smelled for nearly a half mile in all directions of the city.

Ameren checked relief valves, etc. but never found the source of the leak.

The gas wafted over the community for over three hours on Saturday morning.
