Du Quoin Library Director Retires

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Du Quoin city council accepted with very deep regret the retirement resignation of Pam Urban as director of library services at the Du Quoin Public Library.

Urban was hired by the City of Du Quoin on November 26, 2001 and she will retire in March of this year. The newspaper will prepare an extensive feature on what Urban brought to the library and reading literacy during her career before her retirement. Commissioner Kathy West commented,"She has given the library a lot of credibility." Commissioner Duncan added, "She was very stabilizing and did her job well."
