‘Keeping Your Family Afloat (When The World Is Going Down The Drain)' Series Begins Sunday at Chester First Baptist
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[If we named some of the greatest men in the Bible, no doubt we would cite names like Abraham, Jacob, Eli and David. If the Old Testament saints had an All-Star team, these men are undebatably on the starting squad. These men of renowned showed extraordinary spiritual giftedness, but as fathers they made some fantastic fumbles. What if there was a little-known daddy in scripture that seemingly "broke the parenting code" on raising godly children? This father was not a king, military leader, prophet, judge or general. He was just a daddy who lived in a time of moral and spiritual decay in the darkest times for the people of God (Israel). The man's name is Jonadab (also known as Jehonadab), and because he was such a good daddy God made the most extraordinary promise to him. Pastor Mike believes that it is time for the Church to discover Jonadab's principles that helps ensure our families will serve the Kingdom, and also for them to learn to claim God's promises over their families today. Beginning this Sunday at 10:30 AM, Pastor will begin a four-week sermon series that gives practical teaching and real tools to give families more than a fighting chance to being more than victorious. The 6:30 PM service will feature the message "Knowing the Enemy." This message will reveal the origin of the devil and demons. We'll also learn why the enemy hates God, His Kingdom and His people. The sermon will be preceded with a time of worship and praise.
