</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Elverado never trailed after the first quarter and pulled away for a 70-55 victory over Agape Christian on Tuesday night at home with a total of eleven Falcons getting into the scoring column.

EHS struggled at the free throw line, missing four out of five in the first quarter, and Agape led 7-5 until Josh Sarensen's stick-back with 3:30 to go in the period tied things up.

Sean Harrison briefly gave the Falcons a lead with a fast-break layup, but Zeke Snell responded with a runner for Agape Christian.

That's when the Falcons took the game over, starting with a 9-0 run to close out the opening period to lead 18-9.

Harrison drove strong to the hoop to start the run, then Hasty bombed in a three-pointer with 1:30 to go. Jake Lipe hit a turnaround with a minute to go, then Hasty came away with a steal and a running jumper just before the period ended.

The Falcons extended their lead before halftime in an explosive 27-14 second quarter with Bryce Mathis scoring six points in the period.

Harrison led Elverado with 13 points in the ball game, Hasty joined him in double figures with 11. Mathis added 9 points, Sarensen 8, Lipe, Brian McClanahan and Dalton Porter each had 7, Wade Bowlin 3, Skyler Roach and Casey Hicks 2, and Kyle Whittington 1.

Snell was the high-point man for the game with 16 points, Landon Sanders finished with 10 for Agape Christian.

The Falcons (3-11) play again this Friday when they travel to Christopher.
