Student Enrollment Down at SIU, Up at John A. Logan College
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The migration to junior colleges is apparently continuing as Southern Illinois University at Carbondale announced Tuesday at 313-student drop in enrollment for the Fall 2010 semester.
The numbers compare this year to the same semester last year.
Meanwhile, John A. Logan Jr. College at Carterville reported a 1% increase in on-campus enrollment, a gain of 55 students. All told, including online students, Logan's enrollment has grown to well over 7,000 students in the last two years.
