Chester High School Project Graduation is hosting an All-You-Can-Eat Fried Chicken Dinner this Sunday February 13 at the Chester Eagles Club. The event is being hosted in order to raise money top fund the 2011 CHS Project Graduation event.
The dinner is being advertized as a Valentine's Day special and the event coordinator, Scott Gross, notes that the Project Graduation Parent Committee is hoping that members from the Community of Chester will attend the dinner as a way to celebrate Valentine's Day.
"All of you husbands be sure to treat your sweethearts this Sunday at the all-you-can-eat chicken dinner which starts at 11 A.M. and serves until 3 P.M.", stated Gross. Project Graduation parents are hopeful to get a crowd of romantics who wish to get a great meal, treat their sweethearts and help fund the all-night, drug, alcohol and tobacco-free Project Graduation event.
The menu is being prepared by parents and cooks at the Chester Eagles Club and includes all-you-can-eat fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, slaw, homemade desserts and drinks. Adults can eat for only $8.00 while children (5-11) eat for only $5.00. Children under the age of five eat FREE.
The Chester Eagles Club, at 402 Hacker Street in Chester, is hosting the meal and CHS senior Class members and their parents will be working to make the event run smoothly.
"The Eagles have sponsored this event for years and they actually donate all of the food as well as the facility. They are truly invested in helping to keep the graduates safe and sound on graduation night", exclaimed Dr. Jim Beers, CHS Project Graduation Coordinator. "We can not thank the Eagles enough for all of their support over the years".
Keeping the Valentine's Day theme in mind the senior parents will have the auditorium decorated in Valentine's Day colors and they will raffle-off a Valentine's Day gift basket to celebrate the occasion. Patrons do not have to be present to win the basket.
Carry-out meals are also being offered by calling (618) 826-3933. Orders of six or more can be delivered by calling that same phone number. The Project Graduation Committee is especially encouraging all senior families to attend this event as a way of supporting their children who will receive the benefit of the safe, all-night graduation party.
