Income tax assistance available
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[RSVP volunteers received instruction through the Internal Revenue Service's VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program during the month of January. The volunteers are fully qualified to assist others, preferable seniors or low-income individuals with the preparation of their federal and state income tax returns. RSVP volunteers qualified to prepare returns are as follows: Sylvia Shockley, Sheldon Gitelman, and Elmer Schuchmann from Randolph County; Ken Gibbs, and Richard Toenjes from Monroe County; Marvin Juhl, and Hilda Higgerson from Perry County.
This is a free service. All senior citizens that could use this service are encouraged to do so. To take advantage of this service, make an appointment at one of the assistance sites below. You will be asked to bring all necessary tax papers with you to complete your tax return.
