Trico lived up to their reputation as they came away with a 59-39 win over Steeleville. The Warriors were only down by five early in the second quarter before Trico closed the half on a 16-4 run. Trico also put in the first five points of the third quarter to put the contest out of reach.
Smith and Pokrzywinski each had 10 points to lead Steeleville's scoring while Reel had eight, Torrey Gerberding put in five, Wittenbrink scored four and Kris Beshears added two. Reel and Pokrzywinski were the leading rebounders. Dylan Witthoft led Trico with 15 points.
Steeleville's junior varsity team also split their games last week. Against Lebanon Winkelman put in 24 points and Jeff Wilson had 13 in a 58-45 win. Against Trico the Warriors struggled and fell by a score of 60-24. Winkelman and Kyle Smith each had five points.
