BASKETBALL: Indian sophomores win Murphysboro tournament

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The DuQuoin High School Sophomore Basketball Team has been participating in a tournament at Murphysboro this past week. DuQuoin made it into the semi-finals on Saturday. DuQuoin played Breese Central in the morning game and defeated them 64-62 to advance to the championship game in the afternoon.

Scoring for DuQuoin was: Dalton Donoghue 11 points, Daulton Beltz 8 points, Brenden Fred 9 points, Austin Mapps 6 points, Nate Boss 20 points, August Mansker 6 points, and Camden Youngman 4 points.

The DHS Sophomores met Carterville for the Championship of the tournament in the afternoon. DuQuoin overpowered Carterville 60-39 to take first place.

Dalton Donoghue scored 7 points, Daulton Beltz 23 points, Brenden Fred 3 points, Austin Mapps 2 points, Nate Boss 11 points, Austin Mansker 12 points, and Camdon Mercier 2 points.

The Sophomores are coached by Tyler Krone.
