VOLLEYBALL: PJHS, #204, Tamaroa eliminated, St. Bruno moves on

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Sesser-Valier knocked off Pinckneyville Junior High School in round one of the SIJHSAA Class M Regional tournament last night, defeating the Junior Panthers 25-9, 25-16 at Christopher Grade School.

Sesser moves on to face top-seeded Christopher on Monday night for the right to advance to the state tournament.

Kaitlyn Sweeney had four service points for PJHS, Brooklyn Morrow, Kaitlyn Goldman, and Keelyn Stein each had two, Taylor Griffin and Ashley Maxey one. Goldman also finished with a team-high three kills. Kaveeka Stell, Sydney Stanton, Ellie Carlson and Nemat Al-Birekdar also saw playing time for the Junior Panthers.

<u>St. Bruno advances to semifinals; Tamaroa, #204 eliminated</u>

Second-seeded St. Bruno took care of Tamaroa on Thursday night 25-14, 25-16 to move into Friday&#39;s SIJHSAA Class S Regional semifinals at Pinckneyville District #204 school.

The Lady Falcons will meet third seed DeSoto, which knocked off Waltonville 25-15, 25-15 in Wednesday&#39;s 8:00 p.m. contest.

Also on Thursday, the host Lady Tigers fell to St. Andrew 25-17, 25-20 to end their season.

St. Andrew meets Coulterville on Friday at 5:00 p.m. for the right to play in the 7:00 p.m. Championship against either St. Bruno or DeSoto.
