Evelyn Schuwerk named to Memorial Hospital's Board Of Directors

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Randolph County Board of Commissioners recently announced the appointment of Evelyn Schuwerk of Chester to Memorial Hospital's Board of Directors. Schuwerk will fill the seat of Eileen Gordon who recently retired from the Board. Gordon served 30 years on Memorial's Board of Directors, 14 of those years as Chairman.

Evelyn Schuwerk is the wife of retired Circuit Judge William A. Schuwerk, Jr. She too is retired, after having worked 32 years as legal secretary in the office of the Randolph County State's Attorney's office. Prior to that time, Schuwerk worked in the medical records department at Sparta Community Hospital.

Schuwerk is a member of New Palestine United Methodist Church where she serves as pianist and organist and as church treasurer. She is also a member of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She is a volunteer with the Chester Area Christian Food Pantry and the Chester Welcome Center.
