Architect Paul Lunsford is having to navigate through both the bid proposals as well as a death in his family this week.
The board will have in its hands before the meeting a survey of the bid proposals on the $14 million building. They will discuss the bids and can 1.) accept a bid and award a contract .2) accept parts of more than one proposal .3) give the architect authority to award a contract after he resolves an issue the board has, or 4.) be asked to report back to the board at a later date if the board has more inquiries.
The board is also expected to consider a request from parents of an expelled student who is asking for reinstatement into the COPE alternative education program sponsored by the Jackson-Perry County superintendent of schools.
