Coach Tim Craft commented, "We have to learn to minimize damage and keep from allowing teams a big inning. We can't keep digging a hole for ourselves and expect to win many games. I am proud of the fact that we were down 9-0 and kept battling at the plate, but still disappointed at the outcome of the game. Sam Kuhnert came in and gave us a good 3+ innings of relief pitching and kept us in the game. We continue to improve at the plate; we now need to string some base hits together and put some runs on the board."

DuQuoin travels to West Frankfort on Wednesday for a game. (4:30)
