Kellerman Defeats Holder in Pinckneyville
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[As the final precinct was counted,the tears began streaming down Mayor-elect Augie Kellerman 's face at the Perry County government building Tuesday night.
The incumbent finance commissioner--now mayor--was so humbled by the thought that the residents of Pinckneyville would elect him as mayor he was completely overcome with emotion.
Kellerman defeated incumbent Mayor Joe Holder by a margin of 773-285 votes,capturing 68.23 percent of the vote.
Candidate Lois Heisner, widow of onetime mayor Kirwan Heisner,got 41 votes. Minister George Culley got 34 votes.
Leonard Heisner defeated Chuck Dobrinick 756-344 for finance commissioner; Sam Fulk defeated Jon Weatherford 591-527 for streets and public improvements commissioner. David Stone defeated Sammy Peradotta 658-460 for public property commissioner. Kevin Hicks (455) defeated James Shillinger (371) and Nathan Kellerman (290) as public health and safety commissioner.
