Chester Police Chief's Monthly Report

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Chester Police Chief Ryan Coffey reported to the Chester City Council at the April 4, 2011 regular City Council Meeting. The following topics were discussed.

Chief Coffey reported on the status of the new Community Service Worker Program rules and regulations, along with some security upgrades for City Hall.

Chief Coffey said that his Department will have a staff meeting and tactical training day in late May. The location has been set for St. Johns' Lutheran School.

Chief Coffey said that he and a couple of his Officers recently took part in a tour of both Gilster facilities. The purpose of this tour was to provide the officers with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the facilities in the event they would need to respond to either location in an emergency.

On a related topic Chief Coffey reported that Deputy Chief Helmers is in the process of putting a mapping and floor plan program together for our larger building/facilities. The program will be accessible through each officer's in-car Mobile Data Computer. Some of the facilities were identified as all of the Chester schools, the courthouse, Gilsters, etc.

The remainder of the report included some investigative dispositions, various training and meetings the Police Department will take part in over the next month, and the status of the city ordinance enforcement caseload.
