Register now for summer youth camp

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The time is now to sign up for 4-H summer youth camp! Open to all youth ages 8-16 years of age as of September 1, 2010, summer youth camp at the University of Illinois 4-H Memorial Camp in Monticello, IL is a great week-long experience for kids. "This overnight camping opportunity offers kids an adventure in fun, friends, and learning" says Curt Sinclair, Extension Educator/Camp Manager. Youth from southern Illinois will have the opportunity to attend on June 5-9, 2011. 4-H membership is not required to attend.

The cost of the full camping week is $175 for non 4-H youth and includes all lodging, meals, and an action-packed program. The fee for 4-H members is $160. Scholarship applications for 4-H members are available by contacting your local University of Illinois Extension Office. A sibling discount is also offered. 4-H Camp staff are carefully screened, selected, and trained to deliver a quality experience full of swimming, boating, hikes, sports, crafts, learning projects, team building, evening programs, and much more. 4-H Memorial Camp is easily accessible, yet secluded within 250 beautiful acres adjacent to Robert Allerton Park.

Sinclair advises getting registered early this year. "Participation in summer youth camp has been extremely popular in recent years," says Sinclair. Charter bus transportation will be available for transportation to and from camp for campers from Southern Illinois. Pick up and drop off times/locations will be provided at a later date. For registration materials, please contact your local University of Illinois Extension Office in Randolph County at 618-443-4364.
