Wanda Juanita Teel

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Wanda Juanita Teel, 88, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:40 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Fair View Nursing Center in Du Quoin.

Wanda was a homemaker. She was of the Methodist Faith but attended the Paradise Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and working outside.

She was born April 4, 1923 at Sesser, Ill., the daughter of Oma Adams Eubanks.

Wanda married Russell Marion Teel on Feb. 14, 1945 at Pinckneyville, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1990.

She is survived by a son- Stephen Teel and wife Cheryl of Du Quoin, daughter- Sharon Dean and husband Robert of Pekin, 13 grandchildren - Douglas Teel and wife Nikki, Julie Teel and husband David, Andrew Teel, Marita Fisher and husband Matt, Joseph Dean and wife Janette, David Dean and wife Michelle, Christopher Dean and wife Rachel, Tina Pearson and husband Gary, Teresa Abercrombie and husband Todd, Sarah Dean, Michael Dean, Matthew Dean and Timothy Dean and 15 great grandchildren - Aubrey Harris, Kiera Harris, Natalia Harris, Lucas Teel, Brevin Teel, Isaac Teel, Vanessa Teel, Zachary Teel, Claire Dean, Avery Pearson, Evan Pearson, Natasha Abercrombie, Syndney Abercrombie, Mira Abercrombie and Damien Dean.

She was preceded in death by her mother, husband, three sisters - Ethel Lou Bumpus, Chesta Mae Glasco and Marcella Jane Dunbar, a brother - James Eubanks and one grandson - Jeremy Dean.

Funeral services were at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Shaw DeMent officiating.

Friends called from 1 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial was private at the Paradise Cemetery at Tamaroa.
