Kathleen Emogene Jatho

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Kathleen Emogene Jatho, 90, of Vergennes, passed away at 11:34 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the Fairview Nursing Center in Du Quoin.

Kathleen was a homemaker. She was a member of Sabbath Baptist Church since May 20, 2006. She was baptized at Loyalty Missionary Baptist Church in 1997. She was a member of the Vergennes Home Extension.

She was born Feb. 2, 1921 at Vergennes, Ill., the daughter of William and Lena (Rosenberger) Creekpaum.

She married Noah Francis Jatho on Aug. 10, 1940 at Jackson, Mo. and he preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1989.

She is survived by one son - Gary Francis Jatho and wife Deena Ruth of Vergennes, one daughter - Linda Sue Allbritton and husband Larry of Carbondale, three grandchildren - Denise Diana Jatho of Peoria, Ill., Gary Francis Jatho, Jr. of Vergennes and Kristi Michelle Jatho Mathias and husband Tom of Rolling Meadows, Ill., three great grandchildren - Shelby Lynn Jatho of Vergennes, Ill., Thomas Gary Mathias and Gretchen Kadee Mathias, both of Rolling Meadows, Ill., several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Bro. Doug Burkhamer officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Memorial Park at Murphysboro, Ill.

Friends may make memorials to the Fairview Nursing Center Activity Fund or TIP Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
