Marilynn Fern Heape
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Marilynn Fern Heape, 88, died under the loving care of Hope Hospice on April 6, 2011 in Fort Myers, Florida.
She was born Sept. 29, 1922 in Du Quoin, Illinois to Van and Emma (Hartsock) Polley.
Marilynn was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Emma Joyce Gilley, and her husband of 63 years, Bob.
She is survived by her son, Allen Heape and wife Reverend Jeanne Davis of Fort Myers Beach; granddaughters, Dr. Nancy Heape and fiance Will Ross of Atlanta, Georgia and Michelle Davis (Chad) Cromwell of Sugar Hill, Georgia; grandson, Jeff (Lara) Davis of Melbourne, Florida; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition, a brother-in-law, Albert Dale Heape and wife Norma of Tamaroa survive her.
Marilynn was employed as a secretary/bookkeeper for most of her adult life and worked full time until she retired at 76 years of age. She was also church organist for many, many years.
A memorial service was held Saturday April 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Beach United Methodist Church on Fort Myers Beach with Reverend Jeanne Davis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Marilynn's name to Beach United Methodist Church or to Hope Hospice.
