Mrs. Opal Irene Shaw
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mrs. Opal Irene Shaw, 88, of Robinson, Ill., passed away at 9:36 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Casey Healthcare in Casey, Ill.
She was born Sept. 2, 1922 in Marissa, Ill., a daughter to James and Verda Pearl (Anderson) Wright. She married Francis L. "Pappy" Shaw on Dec. 24, 1938 and he preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 2001.
Mrs. Shaw was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies of the Elks #1188. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are three sons, Gary Don and Barbara Shaw of Kankakee, Ill., Jerry W. Shaw of Oblong, Ill. and William E. "Bill" and Twyla Shaw of Robinson, Ill.; four grandchildren, Christine Beckman, Stacy Shaw, Brian Shaw and Autum Burkett; seven great-grandchildren, Allison Beckman, Luke Beckman, Brandon and Hunter Shaw, Anna Beckman and Brennen and Charlie Burkett; sister-in-law, Kathy Wright of Dowell, Ill.; sister, Ruth Mann of Dowell and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Carl Wright, Robert Wright, Harold Wright, Edward Wright and Raymond Wright; sisters, Betty Rose, Vera Billie Kinsler and Agnes Bourlan; two half-brothers, William Wright and Wesley Wright and two half-sisters, Ruby Walton and Edith Norris.
Funeral services were Friday, April 15 at 11 a.m. at Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson, Ill. with Rev. Tom Akers officiating. Interment was in Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, Ill.
Friends called from 10 until 11 a.m. at Pulliam Funeral Home on the day of service.
