Memorial to host babysitting class

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Memorial Hospital in Chester will hold a babysitting class on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The course is open to all boys and girls, ages 11 to 14 years of age and the cost is $15 per student. This fee will include all curriculum, a mid-morning snack and lunch.

Class size is limited. Anyone wishing to register, should contact Gwendy Garner, Director, Community Relations & Marketing, at 618/826-4581, Ext. 1373. Deadline for registration is May 25 and the fee is required at the time of registration.

Included in the curriculum is information on how to start one's own babysitting business; what a sitter should know before the parents leave the home; hand washing techniques; water hazards; infant and child feeding; diaper procedures; infant/child sleep times; emergency care; choking and basic rescue breathing techniques and more.
