Geraldine S. Harrison

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Geraldine S. Harrison, age 85, of Du Quoin, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 7:34 a.m. in Fair Acres Nursing Home, Du Quoin, Ill.

Geraldine was born on Jan. 21, 1926 in St. Louis, Mo., a daughter to Raymond and Mildred (Strang) Lynch. On July 14, 1945, she married Roy J. Harrison in St. Louis, Mo. and after 61 years of marriage he passed away on September 18, 2006. She worked as a secretary at Huttig Sash and Door, enjoyed gardening, painting, crocheting and dearly loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include five daughters, Jean Moore, Joyce Gaz, Joan Harrison, Judy Moore and Jane Pace; a son, James Harrison; a sister, Patricia Peterson and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, John Harrison; three brothers, Ronald Lynch, Kenny Lynch and John Lynch and a sister, Alice Hulett.

Geraldine's wishes were to be cremated. Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
