SWIC to offer summer health & safety fair

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Good health is not a destination, but rather a journey. As such, it is important to remain aware of your physical and mental condition.

Southwestern Illinois College will host the 2011 Summer Health & Safety Fair on Wednesday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. More than 25 organizations, clubs and service providers will be on hand to provide information relating to mental happiness, drug and alcohol awareness, highway safety and boat and fire safety awareness.

Faculty members from the SWIC Counseling department also will be on hand to conduct private screenings for depression, eating disorders and alcohol and drug abuse. Screenings will be free of charge and certified counselors will be on site to provide immediate feedback and referrals.
