Willisville Driver, Passengers Injured in Rollover Accident
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[A young Willisville driver and his passengers received major injuries in a 1:45 a.m. rollover accident this morning near Steeleville.
Illinois State Police at the District 13 command in Du Quoin say Terry E. Brooks, 21, of Willisville was not wearing a seatbelt and was airlifted to St. Louis University Hospital with major injuries. His passenger car received major damage and was towed by Express Towing of Murphysboro.
Passenger Kimberly D. Schroeder, 21, of Steeleville was wearing a seatbelt and taken to Barnes Hospital with major injuries as was passenger Jacqueline M. Brooks, 19, of Willisville. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
State Police say the car was traveling on Locust Street near Coolie Bottom Road when it went off the road on the right side and flipped eight times before coming to rest. Brooks was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage and faire to wear a seat belt.
