Thanks to a rainout on Sunday and a Benton forfeit on Thursday, the Steeleville Senior Legion baseball squad had a light schedule last week. Their only game was a 4-2 loss to Marion. Marion got on the board with one run in the first, then added single tallies in three more innings. Steeleville's runs came in the second and the seventh.
Matt Bunselmeyer took the loss. In seven innings he allowed five hits and struck out eight. Steeleville's hits were an RBI double by Brenden Cook and a single by Keith Kettner. Caleb Arbeiter also had an RBI sacrifice for Steeleville.
