Luechtefeld statement on capital bill approval
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[State Sen. Dave Luechtefeld (R-Okawville) offered the following comments after the Illinois Senate took action to approval the capital construction reauthorization on June 22.
"Today, we approved a clean bill from the House of Representatives that removed $430 million in additional, unrelated spending to the capital construction allocation," Luechtefeld said. "Projects now can continue as scheduled. At a time when Illinois has such high unemployment, it was certainly not an option to shut down construction."
