Quintin Allen Roach

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Quintin Allen Roach, 24, of Du Quoin, passed away at 6:37 a.m., Sunday, June 19, 2011 at his residence.

Quintin was a member of the Tamaroa Baptist Church. He was an avid football fan and had been a Du Quoin High School football player. Quintin had been an Unsung Hero on WSIL TV3 for checking on a family during a house fire.

He was born Feb. 12, 1987 at Du Quoin, Ill., the son of Carlie and Dawna K. (Messer) Roach, Jr.

He is survived by his mother - Dawna K. Kretzer and husband Charles of Pinckneyville, sister - Vanessa Roach of Du Quoin, maternal grandmother - Lora Messer of Du Quoin, three nieces - Carlie Gibson and Caylie Gibson, both of Du Quoin, and Alyssa Ellison of Sesser, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Graveside services were at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville with Rev. Raymond Baggott officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial was in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.

Those attending the service were asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Friends may make memorials to the Du Quoin Dialysis Center and will be accepted at the funeral home.
