COSTELLO ANNOUNCES SOUTHERN ILLINOIS SCHOOL DISTRICTS RECEIVE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION FUNDS
Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced <span id="OBJ_PREFIX_DWT235">today</span> that several school districts in Southern Illinois have received Title I funds through the U.S. Department of Education. These funds provide financial assistance to school districts for services that improve the teaching and learning of children at risk of not meeting challenging academic achievement standards.
"This is critical funding for our area that supports students in need to ensure they are receiving a quality education," said Costello. "Education is the key to success, especially in the economy of the 21st Century, and I will continue to support these efforts."
