Rosemary Jane Poiter

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Rosemary Jane Poiter, age 88, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 10:45 a.m. in her home.

Rosemary was born on Jan. 1, 1923 in St. Louis, Mo., a daughter to Fred and Susan Ellen (Wilkerson) Zacher. She moved to Pinckneyville from St. Louis, Mo. in 1934. On May 10, 1952, she married Martin Poiter in St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 1995. Rosemary was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and retired after many years from Pinckneyville Garment Factory, where she was a seamstress and sewing instructor.

Rosemary is survived by one brother, Robert (Ruth) Zacher of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Helen Martin of Du Quoin, Ill., and many dear nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces and a cousin, Georgia Zacher.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services were held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Brian Barker officiating. Interment was in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. The rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Masses.
