Steven W. Lively
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Steven W. Lively, 58, of Du Quoin, passed away at 12:05 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2011 at his home in Du Quoin.
He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the Du Quoin Eagles Lodge 779. He was employed at Turco for 10 years and worked in asbestos removal for 20 years. He enjoyed baseball and especially loved basketball and spending time at Lively's cabin and playing pool.
He was born May 18, 1953 at Tamaroa, Ill., the son of Richard and Bernice ( Rice ) Lively.
Steven married Margaret Hampleman on Oct. 8, 1971 at Tamaroa, Ill. and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, daughter- Heidi Lively of Du Quoin, father- Richard Lively and wife Charlotte of Du Quoin, four brothers- Rick Lively Jr. and wife Sherry of Du Quoin, Ronald Lively and Jill of Du Quoin, George Lively of Tamaroa, Bruce Lively and wife Jamie of Tamaroa, seven sisters- Janet Lively of Du Quoin, Debbie Lively and husband Jim of Du Quoin, Brenda Townes and husband Steve of Du Quoin, Sherry Turney of Tamaroa, Susan Cox and husband Mike of Springfield, Alicia Lively of Du Quoin and Nicole Loucks of Tamaroa, several nieces and nephews, his companion Dusty, his favorite dog.
He was preceded in death by his mother and brother- Keith Lively.
Funeral services were at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Claude Hampleman officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
At Steven's request cremation followed the service.
Friends may make memorials to the Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
