Attempted Child Abduction in Cutler
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Perry County Sheriff's Department is investigating an attempted child abduction in the Village of Cutler, according to Sheriff Keith Kellerman.
The department says that at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday an emergency dispatcher received a 911 cell phone call in reference to the failed abduction.
Perry County deputies and investigators responded to the residence and interviewed family members. It is believed the suspect attempted to abduct a 10-year-old boy near his residence in rural Cutler. The child was able to get away unharmed.
Investigators are lookin for an older model 4-door car, dark in color, possibly blue or black. The vehicle may have a light colored interior with some tears or other damage to the seat.

Illinois State Police, Du Quoin and Pinckneyville police are working with the sheriff's department in the investigation.
