Back to School Accident; 11-Year-Old Boy Injured

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[An 11-year-old Pinckneyville boy received a leg injury after he exited a school bus, started walking, then ran into the side of a car crossing the street near the Dollar General Store in Pinckneyville shortly after 3 p.m. Monday. Stories differ as to what happened, but one report indicates that an elderly driver wasn't even aware the child had struck his car. Because of his age the child is not named. He was airlifted to Children's Hospital in St. Louis.
